43rd Annual 600-700 Clubs Mixed Doubles Tournament Recap

This year’s event saw 84 teams competing for a prize fund of $1932.00. The overall winners were the duo of Wendy Ferris and Ron Ellis who bested the field with a combined 1530 score. The high scratch series by a female was bowled by Carrie Swift. Her games of 268, 249 and 215 totaled 732 for her first 700 series. The high scratch series by a male was bowled by Ron Ellis who had games of 259, 279 and 267 for an honor score 805. Don Feldkamp bowled the lone 300 game. Ron and Don both earned the additional $50 prize awarded to 700 club members shooting a 300 or an 800. There were two other bowlers with honor scores. Jim Hickenbottom missed perfection by one pin and Joe Holtz missed by two, each earning the 11 in-a-row award plaque.

There were 4 special achievement awards earned: Jamie Gipson(264) earned the 250 Game Magnet; Carrie Swift(732) earned the 700 Series Magnet and Justin Duff(253, 708) garnered both the 250 Game and 700 Series Magnets. There were 14 games of 260+ and 16 series of 700+.
