First Annual 700 Open Trio Tournament Recap

Held at Maplewood Lanes on September 25, 2011

 

This year’s event saw 22 teams competing for a prize fund of $990. Twenty non-members bowled with 46 club member in this inaugural tournament. The overall winners were the trio of Dave Hemming, Dean Shipman and Daryl Moore with a total score of 2258. The high series of the tournament was rolled by Dave Hemming who had a games of 267, 258 and 233 for his 758 series. Darrall Garner re-activated his membership this year and bowled the high game of the tournament with a game two score of 280. Mary Martin bowled the high game and series to lead the women. She bowled games of 260, 226, and 245 for her 731 series. There were seven additional bowlers with 700+ series, Darrall Garner (730), Tom McVey Jr. (727), Daryl Moore (722), Tom Shereda (720), Richard Smith (715), Wade Hampton (712) and Scott Horton (711). In addition to the three games above, there were three more bowlers with games of 260+, Scott Horton (268), Daryl Moore (268), and Tom McVey Jr (265). Additionally, 13 bowlers earned 19 Special Achievement awards. Thank you all for participating!
